Evaluation Criteria and Academic Standards

Internal Assessment

There shall be an internal assessment which follows principles enunciated by the University in each subject for 25% of the marks are set apart and these will be added to the final marks in University examination. There shall be a minimum of three written examinations and practical assessments shall be conducted in each subject and the average marks of three shall be taken into consideration for the award of Internal Assessment.

Course Objectives

A candidate shall be declared to have passes the examination if,

She secured 50% marks in theory
50% of marks in practical/oral
50% of marks in theory and practical/oral put together in each subject separately
In case of subsidiary subjects the candidate should secure 35% in each subsidiary subject (English and Introduction to Computer Sciences)

Eligibility Criteria

Distintion

75% of marks in particular subject(s) and passed in first attempt in all other subjects of that examination

First Division

Secured not less than 65% of total aggregate marks of all subjects of all the years except subsidiary subjects and passing all the subjects other than subsidiary subjects in first attempt.

Second Division

Passed in all the subjects of the respective examination in the first attempt.

Pass

All other successful Candidates shall be placed in pass division.
