Smt. J. Eashwari Bai was one of the rare stars which emerged on the Indian Political Field. She started her career as humble teacher, later established a school for children which served the education needs of children at Chilakalguda a lower Socio-economic area in Secunderabad, A.P. She was a Legislator and a leader of RPI opposition group in the A.P. assembly president of RPI, Vice Chairperson of the Telangana Praja Samithi, and Founder President of Civic Rights Committee. Twice MLA from Yellareddy Constituency of Nizamabad district of A.P.

Smt. J. Eashwari Bai was the Chairperson of the women and child welfare corporation (The Govt. of A.P). She was deeply concerned over the upliftment of women and children. She fought for social injustice like illiteracy, poverty and harassment of various types. As chairperson of the women and child welfare corporation, Govt. of A.P, she strove in a direction to raise the economical status of women through vocational training which eventually lead to gainful employment.

Smt. J. Eashwari Bai was more than just a leader; she was a promoter of educational and medical institutions keeping her noble ideas in view. Her only daughter Dr. Mrs. J. Geetha Reddy along with her husband Dr. Ramachandra Reddy have made provision for women to give professional collegiate education through Eashwari Bai Memorial College & School of Nursing, with the aim to serve the health needs of the community through highly qualified and efficient nurses.
